Let’s take the last two nights in sports. Monday we had a football game that was over the total by half time. So the only way people would still watch this game is if the 2.5 point side that the Baltimore Ravens were favored would come into play. How can two teams play so Jekyll and hide? Being down 21-7 at half time you would thing that the Ravens -2.5 would be out of the woods, right? Well when I saw that the second half line was pick’um and that the total was 16 I surely knew that the second half over would be likely and that the second half Jets cover was more than likely going to come in. I mean with former Heisman winner Troy Smith being the quarterback for the Ravens, hell I thought that the jets might come back and win this game outright. In preseason it is 100% about knowing the time played by what quarterback and his tools around him. Looking at the rosters and knowing which one is stronger down the stretch. Knowing talent and more importantly knowing the playing time of that said talent.
I am a firm believer of “It’s not what you know; it’s who you know….” In preseason!! I promise you this anyone that wants to sign up with us for the 3rd week of preseason football will make a ton of money with our plays, because we have the agenda of 5 teams so far this weekend of who is getting the playing time. We are trying to get a 6th and 7th play for the weekend but no promises.
Now let’s look at baseball from last night. The Dodgers were the first team to 70 wins and since then they are struggling to play 500ball. With a slim two game lead over the Rockies in their division, how can you rule them out of the post-season? In my opinion the Rockies are playing the best baseball out there. Last nights game was fun to watch. But I tell you what the night before when the SFGiants took a 4-1 lead in the top of the 14th inning and then gave it all back +2 in the bottom to lose in extra innings 6-4 that right there is when I want you to remember how the Rockies showed everyone that they are the front runners in the NL to win the World Series. I promise you this taking the Rockies at 23-1 odds right now today might be the smartest move of the year. Their odds for the NL pennant are 5-1(third choice) and would be a safe play as well.
In conclusion let me give you a free piece of advice for MLB tonight Take TAMPA BAY -120 tonight against the Blue Jays. It’s a nice easy winner.
